Characteristics of JFET

Purpose: -
Study the characteristics of the Junction field-effect Transistor.

Apparatus: -
JFET, Power supply, ammeter, voltmeter, rheostat, connecting cables.

Opinion: -
The JFET or field-effect transistor is a final tool that uses an electric field to control the current flow through the device and has a high input impedance that is fully utilized in many circuits.

Circuit Diagram:-

Source: -
It is the center where most carriers enter the bar. As the carriers come from it is called the source.

Drain: -
It is a facility where many carriers leave the bar i.e. they are removed from the area. The VDS voltage detection line drives the output ID

Gate: -
These are the two internal impurities that are connected internally that form the two PN channels. The voltage of the gate-source VGS reversing reverses the gates.

Channels: -
It is a space between two gates where most carriers pass from the source to the water where the V
N-Channel JFET: - when we look at the silicon bar and form an N-edge at its edges and make the most of the P-type items on each side of the bar, the smaller circuit will remain b as seen in the image by the channel. As this channel is in the N-type bar this is called the N-channel FET. Here it is currently carried by an electron.
P-channel JFET: - when we look at the silicon bar and the fictional P-type at both ends of it and the N-type objects with the most dynamic on each bar slide, here a small region remained as shown in the image by the channel. Since this channel is an N-type bar this is called a P-channel FET, which is why it currently has holes.

Nature of Graph:-

Process: -
1) Connect the region as shown in the circuit diagram.
2) Vary drain V
3) Note drain current I
4) Plot Graph  of I

Tabular column:-

Calculation: -
1) From calculating the graph DS / I = ______
2)GID/ VGS = _________mho
3) Amplification factor = V

Results:-
The following JFET values were obtained
RDS / I = _______ ohm
D / GS = _________mho V
